Council’s Customer Services retain Customer Excellence award

After a Review on the 4th January, the Borough Council’s Customer Services team has retained the Customer Excellence award for a further 3 years. The team was congratulated on demonstrating on-going Customer Service Excellence.

Specific highlights included:

Staff are professional in their approach and have excellent people skills, they are smart and confident and it is evident that staff enjoy their work and strive hard to meet customer’s high expectations. The Help Shops were attractive and welcoming. The staff demonstrated a positive attitude and a ‘can do’ culture. It was also noted that CS had strong working relationships with service providers and the young workers scheme initiative was considered excellent, customer services currently have two graduate young workers.

The achievement of Customer Service Excellence is an on-going activity and we have to continue to meet the elements throughout the three years that the Hallmark is awarded, efforts must be made by the Council to continually improve the service.
