Police apply for review of Dog & Duck pub

As a result of a number of incidents over the past 6 months, Surrey Police have applied to Reigate & Banstead Borough Council for a review of the licence of the Dog & Duck pub, on the High Street.

The application for review, which details the incidents which have occurred and the measures which the Police believe need to be improved, can be found at the following link: http://www.reigate-banstead.gov.uk/Licit/AssociatedFilesShow?file=\\rbnas1\EH\SCANS\Licensing\Premise\Variations\12_00291_PREMREV_The%20Dog%20and%20Duck%20Redhill.pdf

The Council’s Licensing Committee will now have to scrutinise the report, and decide whether to modify the licence held by the premises.

This follows similar action late last year, when the Police requested a review of the licence of the Abbot pub, which resulted in tighter restrictions being imposed (see our previous article on the issue) - since when the amount of crime associated with the premises has fallen.
