Redhill Balanced Network Newsletter – April 2015

two way trafficBalanced Network update from Surrey County Council:

The Redhill town centre road works will be substantially complete by the end of April 2015. This newsletter provides an update on the remaining work.

Block paving works on Station Road and surrounding Station Roundabout continues, with the area adjacent to the bus and train station now open. The contractor will finish the remaining area at the entrance to Station Road. Carriageway surfacing works to the roundabout and approaches will be completed later in the month during the night.

The site compound in Station Road next to Maple Square will be removed in mid April, allowing our contractor to finish the block paved area underneath the compound.

On 16th March the bollards separating traffic on the new two way system on the A25 through Redhill were removed allowing traffic to flow as planned. Please continue to take care when travelling in Redhill by vehicle, cycle or on foot while users get used to the new layout.

Bus operators continue to assess the operation of the two way system with a view to rescheduling services on the new route as appropriate. Infrastructure has been installed on the new route in preparation for an update to the services.

It is now May and completion by mid / end of April looks still incomplete.
Still trying to avoid the barriers when walking around town. Redigging up between maple sq and station could have been avoided if it was all done when it was completely enclosed. It taking too long to refloor the bus station.
